Fostering a Respectful Canadian Online Community
This Code of Conduct outlines the expected behaviour for all users of Rubicon Free Press and reflects our commitment to creating a safe, inclusive, and lawful online environment for Canadians. By using our platform, you agree to abide by these guidelines and acknowledge that failure to do so may result in content removal, account suspension, or termination.
Respect and Civility
Debates and disagreements are welcome, but they must be conducted constructively and without resorting to insults or threats. We expect all users to engage with others respectfully and courteously. Harassment, bullying, personal attacks, hate speech, or any form of discriminatory language based on race, national or ethnic origin, colour, religion, age, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, marital status, family status, genetic characteristics, disability, or conviction for an offence for which a pardon has been granted or in respect of which a record suspension has been ordered, are strictly prohibited.
Lawful Content and Conduct:
All content and activities on PeopelsPartyOfCanada-BritishColumbia.ca must comply with Canadian laws, including but not limited to:
-
Hate Speech: We have zero tolerance for content that incites or promotes hatred against any identifiable group, as defined by the Criminal Code of Canada. This includes advocating genocide or willfully promoting hatred.
-
Child Protection: Any content that sexually victimises a child, promotes self-harm in children, or induces a child to harm themselves is strictly prohibited. We will report such content to the relevant authorities.
-
Non-Consensual Intimate Content: Sharing or distributing intimate content of another person without their explicit consent is illegal and strictly forbidden.
-
Privacy: Users must respect the privacy of others. Do not collect, use, or disclose personal information without consent, in accordance with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and other applicable provincial privacy laws. Doxxing (publishing private information about an individual online without their consent) is prohibited.
-
Intellectual Property: Do not post content that infringes on the copyrights, trademarks, or other intellectual property rights of others.
-
Illegal Activities: Do not use Rubicon Free Press to facilitate or promote any illegal activities, including fraud, violence, or incitement to violence.
Authenticity and Misinformation
Users are encouraged to share accurate information. Deliberately posting or sharing false or misleading content, particularly that which could cause harm or incite panic, is prohibited. Impersonating others, whether individuals or organisations, is not permitted. Automated or "bot" accounts must be clearly identified as such and adhere to all other aspects of this Code of Conduct.

We encourage users to report any content or behaviour that violates this Code of Conduct. Our team will review all reports and take appropriate action, which may include removing content, issuing warnings, temporarily suspending accounts, or permanently banning users. We reserve the right to disclose user information to law enforcement agencies when required by law or in cases of serious violations.
User Responsibilities
As a user, you are responsible for the content you post and for ensuring your interactions comply with these guidelines. We encourage you to familiarise yourself with Canadian laws regarding online conduct and privacy. While we strive to maintain a safe environment, users are ultimately responsible for their own online safety and discretion.
